Science Stories is back and in person. Join us at the LIVELab for another installment of the popular Science Stories: A Science Communication Speaker Series with host Katie Moisse, Assistant Professor, Interdisciplinary Science.
We are thrilled to announce that the McMaster Community will be welcoming guest speaker Anthony Morgan’10, the newest co-host of CBC’s highly acclaimed television series, The Nature of Things, and the founder and creative director of Science Everywhere.
Join Anthony as he shares some of the most surprising things he has learned and experienced on his 20-year journey to becoming the show’s host and what’s essential for good science communication. Q & A will follow.

About the speaker:
Anthony Morgan graduated from McMaster in 2010 with a degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour and is an award-winning science communicator, PhD researcher, startup founder and game designer who has hosted dozens of TV programs. He’s also the new host of The Nature of Things on CBC Television. He’s obsessed with changing how people see, think and talk about science in their everyday lives. He’s spent close to 20 years finding ways to do just that. He’s worked at the Ontario Science Centre, with Asap SCIENCE, written for newspapers, hosted CBC Radio, collaborated with municipal governments and serves on the steering committee of the misinformation-tackling Science Up First. This work and more has earned him multiple distinctions and award nominations including a Falling Walls nomination for breakthrough science engagement initiative and being named one of CBC’s top 20 millennial change-makers.
