Teaching Innovation

Teaching Innovation

Our undergraduate programs offer innovative ways of teaching in the undergraduate classroom that include course-embedded science literacy, research, community engagement, and experiential learning. Our researchers assess and critically analyze the impact of these teaching practices on student engagement and learning in short-term and longitudinal studies. In this way, we use evidence-based practices to inform our teaching. Many of our researchers collaborate with educational development and research teams at the Paul R. MacPherson Institute for Leadership, Innovation and Excellence in Teaching to bring new curricula to life.
